A few days ago at dinner, Taylor got really upset because she had some mosquito bites on her legs that were driving her to tears. We had tried spraying them with Dermaplast which is supposed to help with itching but it didn't work. Brandon asked Taylor if she wanted to put toothpaste on them, which she did. It didn't really work (isn't toothpaste a remedy for zits?) but she finally cheered up and forgot about it.
Today, while I was paying some bills at the computer, Taylor found a full tube of toothpaste which, as you can see, she liberally applied to her entire shin! She told me she was just covering her mosquito bites!

Taylor's Umbilical Hernia Repair...
Last Friday we took Taylor to Primary Children's Hospital to get her belly button fixed. We had to be there by 8 am while the surgery didn't start until 9:30. Taylor was so brave....she didn't need to take a sedative to go with the doctors....she just rode her wagon into the OR without her parents. About 30minutes later the Dr. told us it was all done and we could go back to be with her in 20 minutes. I was surprised how awake she was when I got to see her. She was so funny because we told her she had to finish the juice the nurse gave so we could go home... and she said she wanted to stay! I guess she liked having a TV screen hovering over her bed and cool band-aids and wrist bands! Well we eventually convinced her to go home at about 11:15.
All in all it was a relatively easy process and Taylor is recovering really well. She complains about her belly button hurting occasionally but she is back to her normal activity level. I'm glad everything has gone perfectly to this point and hope that continues until the insurance company pays! ( For the past 6 months I've been straightening out multiple insurance claims that were messed up.....not fun!)

We're Back!
We took a two week vacation in July to Colorado which was a blast! The day we got back, Callie ruined our mother board on the computer by pushing the on /off button repetitively...ugh! Luckily our computer is still covered under HP's warranty so we got it fixed for free. It took about 1 1/2 weeks from the time they sent us the shipping box to the time it arrived back on our front door! I was pretty impressed. We are happy to have our computer back....we really missed it!
